Fred's
Diary

2003

This
is
an
annual
show,
held
in
Sydney
around
November
and
Canberra
around
June
--
see
the
Australian
Craft
Show
website
for
details.I
wasn't
overly
interested
in
the
textiles
on
display,
although
Stringybark
Graphics
has
some
very
eye-catching
items
of
clothing.
Most
of
my
money,
predictably,
went
on
food
products:
- some
chilli
chocolate
(Kimberley
Chocolates,
209
Lilyfield
Road,
Leichhardt,
02
9555
7900)
- a
bottle
of
"Funnelweb
Bite"
chilli
sauce
from
The
Chilli
Factory
in
Coffs
Harbour.
- an
assortment
of
cordials,
preserves
etc
from
Granma's
1908
Cordials
- some
plum
jam
and
finger
lime
marmalade
from
Kurrajong
Native
Foods
- several
packages
of
fudge
from
the
Fudge
Factory
(Dimboola
Rd,
Warracknabeal
VIC
3933
phone
03
53941215)
There
were
some
spectacular
wooden
boxes
with
intricate
inlays.
An
uexpected
bonus:
on
the
bus
ride
back
to
the
city
we
saw
Mark
Trevorrow
(stage
name
"Bob
Downe")
singing
"I
will
survive"
in
what
appeared
to
be
an
outdoor
concert
at
Taylor
Square,
Darlinghurst.
